Until the late 1970s, fuji cameras were named Fujica as an amalgamation of the word'Fuji' and'camera. Pioneered the Single-8 motion picture format in 1968, as an alternative to the Kodak Super-8 film format.
On offer here is the Fujica Single-8 P1 which was introduced in 1965 and became one of the first single 8 cartridge movie cameras. It had a slightly different outlook, considering its angular shape and the lens on the camera embedded within the body, rather than the usually protruding one. It was an 8 mm cine cameras which used the Fuji super 8 film cassette, with auto exposure electronic motor drive.
